pH of the soil, mid-1980s
 The pH values in the soil layer a few decimetres down give a picture of the effects of acidic fallout from the atmosphere. The most acidic soils are found in the south of Sweden, where the fallout of acidifying pollutants from southwesterly winds is largest.
