Second homes
The map shows the number of taxed second homes per square of 5x5 km 1990. The geographical pattern of second homes reveals the dominant influence of two factors: nearness to permanent home and nearness to water, along the coast, the lakes and rivers. Many isolated squares with high figures also contain an attractive lake, too small to be shown on the map. Many rural homes were maintained as second homes by those who had migrated to urban centres.
